Sumner has over 30 years of maritime and transportation related experience. After earning a bachelor’s degree from Rhodes College, Sumner joined a central US Gulf marine transport, trucking and bulk petroleum terminal company where he served in executive, operational management and administrative roles. At Norton Lilly, Sumner has been responsible for Treasury and Risk Management, as well as Legal matters. In late 2018, he transitioned into his new role as Executive Vice President of Human Resources
